Why UzSec+ exists
More of daily life now runs on phones, Telegram and online payments, and so do scams. UzSec+ exists to make practical cybersecurity easier to learn for people in Uzbekistan and Central Asia, in the languages they actually use.

Three habits that stop most scams
Scammers in Uzbekistan often use Telegram to spread fake apps and phishing links. These habits protect you and your family.

Never install an APK sent in a chat
An .apk file sent on Telegram, even from a friend, can be malware that reads your SMS and steals bank codes. Install apps only from Google Play or the App Store.

Never share SMS codes
No bank, delivery service or government office will ask for the code they sent you. Anyone who asks is trying to take over your account or card.

Check the link before you tap
Scam sites copy real ones with small spelling changes. If a message pushes you to act fast, stop and open the official app yourself.
